what is a Living succulent bouquet?
A living succulent bouquet is basically a pot with a mixture of succulents in it. Succulents are so wonderful because they often come in different shapes, forms and colours and I seldom see mixed pots that take advantage of this, so I decided to get creative and do the best I could by contrasting their unique differences.
what do you need?
This is quite a simple project and the list is short:
- Different succulents
- Pot
- Potting soil
- Spade
how do you go about it?
Firstly you want to add potting soil to your pot. Succulents are quite hardy and will be able to take just about any soil you throw at them. Just make sure that it isn’t too dense as this will impede the drainage of the water from the container. Place the succulents that will do well along the edge on the sides (such as trailing or rosette succulents) and make sure you cover their roots as you go along. Add the taller and contrasting succulents behind these so that the finishing result is as striking as possible. Once your pot is full, water your succulents.
